Argentina’s Premier Wine Estate
Navarro Correas, long a preeminent name in Argentina's wine industry, recently unveiled its new winery and visitor center, a striking construction that represents a $3 million investment.
In addition to a state-of-the art winery equipped with the latest technology, the site includes a separate visitor center. This light and airy one-story structure houses a reception area, bar, kitchen and private dining space, accommodating up to 100, for special events. Extensive cellars, a tasting room and wine library are located below ground, beneath a courtyard directly behind the visitor center and connected to the main building by a graceful circular stairway. This underground location ensures optimum conditions for storing and aging fine wines
Inspiration for the project derived from the nearby Andes Mountains and is reflected throughout the winery's interiors in an evocative interplay of locally sourced materials, including rough-hewn stone and dark woods, as well as decorative use of burnished steel, corroded iron, creative lighting and textured concrete surfaces painted in warm, subtle earth tones.
Visitors are welcome at the new Navarro Correas winery, which is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays year-round, excepting national and major religious holidays and during the harvest season. Free hour-long tours and tastings, with English- and Spanish-speaking guides, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., 12 noon and 3:00 p.m. Appointments are recommended for groups of 10 or more. Navarro Correas wines are available for purchase at the winery gift shop.
